Weeks 1 - 4
The first four weeks of Redwood’s immersion course cover HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6), React, and supporting frameworks like Redux and Bootstrap. Combining these functionalities ensures all students have a solid foundation on the languages that make the web work. In the first four weeks, students will also complete their first individual project, showcasing their ability to put all of these new skills into action.
Week 5
During “Cloud Week,” students learn to create mobile-friendly web applications in the cloud. We cover the use of AWS and related technologies, like Lambda & API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, and Docker.
Weeks 6 - 11
Learn .NET Core (including ASP.NET), C#, SQL, MongoDB, Mongoose, Entity Framework, REST, and Web API. During the back-end portion of the curriculum, students work on individual and group projects incorporating the lessons and languages learned so far. We will also focus on additional proficiencies designed to hone your industry-ready skill set: Agile, Scrum, algorithms, and data structures, just to name a few.
Week 12
In the final week of the course, you’ve completed your development curriculum and you’re ready to begin your job search! Unlike other coding bootcamps, Redwood Code Academy devotes a week of preparation and optimization for the successful software developer’s job search. Learn to build (and perfect) your resume and portfolio, as well as your presence on professional platforms like LinkedIn and GitHub. Working closely with our career development team, students will also participate in mock phone screens and in-person technical interviews.

When it came time to find a job, Redwood had my back. They brought out some people from the programming industry to prepare us for what people in the market are looking for. Within about 2 months, I was accepting a job offer.
Was Redwood worth it? YES! For me, it was the only way for me to learn. I struggled being able to sit at home and teach myself.
The instructors were generous, light-hearted and knowledgeable instructors, you felt at the same time safe and challenged asking questions, providing input, and also working in the class while doing the lab.
The instructors are endlessly knowledgeable in a ton of technologies, computer science theory, programming concepts, and best-practices. Their real-world experience really shows.
